Goals and Activities
The Balkan Scientific Centre successfully achieves its goals, defined in the Statute, through:
- Development, affirmation and promotion of scientific and research work.
- Participating in planning and achieving scientific and professional development in the areas of its activity through cooperation with universities, scientific institutions and other organisations, as well as the dissemination and popularisation of scientific knowledge.
- Training of the Association members and achieving other goals of interest for the development of the Association and its members.
- Representation of the common and individual interests of the Association members to improve the conditions of scientific and research work.
- Education and professional development of the Association members.
- Organising scientific meetings, national and international scientific conferences, congresses and symposiums, seminars, presentations and other educational activities for members of the Association and other individuals to follow the state-of-the-art issues in the scientific and research work.
- Publishing of books, journals, proceedings, manuals and other publications.
- Providing expert assessments and advice, i.e., preparing expertise and reviews to develop and improve scientific and research work.
- Organising and promoting scientific papers and scientific and research work, and developing projects with this aim.
- Assisting members of the Association and other persons in planning and implementing programs to develop their scientific and research work.
- Establishing cooperation with companies, public enterprises and business organisations to ensure and create better conditions for scientific and research work development.
- Cooperating with professional and other organisations and associations dealing with topics in the field of achieving the goals of the Association.
- Participating in the work of working groups/bodies for the purpose of adopting legal and by-laws.
- Providing legal, technical, professional, administrative and other assistance to members of the Association and other persons in the field of activity of the Association to contribute to the increase in the number of individuals engaged in scientific and research work.
- Gathering and connecting scientists and researchers.
- Marking significant dates and anniversaries of science.
- Dealing with other issues important for the development and improvement of scientific and research work.
